This is a excellent study tool for the NCLEX. It offers alot of information in different formats. Very easy to get thru the 1200 flash cards because of the formatting. There multiple questions on each card.

I really credit these so much with me passing the NCLEX-PN on my first try. These cards prepared me better than my teachers because the cards teach you *how to take* the NCLEX, while school taught the information. These are a must for any student taking the NCLEX-PN.

These cards were really helpful. they were small so it was easy to take basically anywhere and study in my free time. on each card they have 3-4 questions with answers on the back. highly recommend this product.

i havent taken the NCLEX yet, but i use these in class and three classmates have bought them after using mine. good luck to all taking the test!!!

I have to give these a 3 bcz they are made of paper and they are crammed super tight in the box. It is only a matter of time before I started accidentally tearing them up. I returned this product and opted for a digital one from Google store for 12.99. Passed my boards, btw, a week later. Good luck!

I've been teaching yoga for 45 years and have known Joe for at least 25 years of those. I first met Joe in the early 90s when he attended one of my workshops, soon after the publication of my second book. Since that time, we've shared in each other's journeys. Joe is the quintessential renaissance man. He's a painter, writer, consummate yogi, and true seeker. I will likely edit and add to this review as I reread this book, for this is not a book to read and set aside to gather dust on a shelf. Yes, I enjoyed this book immensely and to new practitioners of yoga who are only interested in asana (poses), you are woefully shortchanging yourselves. Yoga breath or pranayama can and should be practiced on and off the mat, at home, on the job, in social settings, in relationships, when you are alone.For the impatient, jump to Chapter Thirty Four: Easy Yoga for Breath, but I encourage you to read the entire book from beginning to end. The first half of the book lays the foundation for the techniques to follow through real world examples and/or experiences, research--mental and physiological--and how the two are interrelated. Reduced stress, lower blood pressure, an overall feeling of wellness and well-being are among the benefits of mindful breathing if we but take time to breathe properly and be good to ourselves. Slow down, tune out the world’s frantic and insane pace and tune into *you*; the exercises within this book will help you do just that.Among my favorite quotes from the book: “For me, the regular practice of yoga keeps me 'in the zone' more of the time, so that my thoughts, words, and actions are appropriate for the situation.”With the above in mind, self help books are worthless if readers do not apply the techniques therein. Applying three minutes of Coherent Breathing (Chapter Thirty-Six) prior to a meeting recently was instrumental in helping me deal with an individual who tends to be confrontational in such settings. I remained calm, purposeful, positive, noncommittal in their efforts to goad me into a reactive response. I walked away from the meeting delighted in being able to apply what I had read within the pages of this book in a real situation.Vehicles have owner's manuals. Recipe books lie waiting to be referenced in drawers or on shelves in kitchens around the world. This is a technical book that is best not read in a hurry. It is more of a mental health reference book. Each of the techniques provided needs to be studied and put into practice. It is well structured which makes it easier to page right to the topic that is relevant to your life situation and let the writings be your companion. I found the explanation on police killings quite interesting - this is something I always found difficult to understand. "Why do they do it?", I always ask. The author provides a plausible perspective to this and other similar incidents. The most valuable section are those that link mind and body - these two are so intertwined, and the author shows how the reader needs to pay attention to both.It is a book that one should have as a hard copy on the shelf at home or office.

Extremely thorough approach to breath centered practice, with tons of research & scientific evidence to explain the benefits! I’ve practiced mindfulness meditation for a few years now, but I really didn’t know how important the breath is in impacting physiological processes. This book discusses the variety of benefits breath practice & meditation has for everyone, from Veterans to First Responders, people who suffer with high blood pressure & PTSD. It really encouraged me to incorporate new breathing techniques into my daily routine for better overall health & well-being.

As someone who has been practicing mindfulness for several years now, I was really impressed with how well researched this book was and how informative it was for the newbie or the seasoned "breather". I really enjoyed the question/answer sections, as they answered a lot of really common questions for those wanting to start this practice. Would highly recommend.

If you have any interest at all in Pranayama or Breathwork, whether you are an experienced instructor or new to yoga, this book will serve you well.

We love this book because it a fun departure from the typical yoga speak endemic to this genre. Joseph brings an artistic and scientific sensibility to the subject of breathing and very thoroughly leads us on a journey into the mysteries of breath, not just as respiration, but as a dynamic form of self-mastery and vibrancy. Living as we do in an information cloud, most of us have forgotten how to breathe! Joe takes us back to our organic roots when our breath linked us to our environment, universe, and inner landscape. Thank you Joe for this master work!
